Who Is Sne Dladla
Sne is a dancer, musician, impressionist, comedian, actor and composer, an uncanny impressionist and a roll-on-the-floor funny comedian – all of which means one thing: this guy is impossible to put in a box, known for Jabu's Jungle in 2016, Run As One 2019, and Black Tax 2020. With two Fleur du Cap theatre awards and stars Comedy Central’s Laugh in Your Language on DStv and is touring in his third one-man show, Darker Hue. Award-winning comedian Seneliso ‘Sne’ Dladla hosts Comedy Central’s CCN (Comedy Central News), a five-series-old satirical news show produced by the Emmy-nominated team behind ZANews’ Puppet Nation. Growing up in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal, comedy often got him out of sticky situations. He is a very versatile performer that started his comedy career in the exciting lands of Grahamstown.
He already has two Fleur du Cap theatre awards under his belt, stars in Comedy Central’s Laugh in Your Language on DStv and is touring in his third one-man show, Darker Hue. It’s a lot for one person to juggle – but then most people don’t have the kind of energy Sne’s blessed with.
Sne was then spotted by David Kramer and that paved the way for meaty theatre roles. As his name became more well known, people began to flock to his stand-up routines and he's since had three one-man shows. He recently headlined in Grahamstown for the final show. Siv Ngesi produced his comedy shows which were directed by Rob Van Vuuren.
TwoU visited Sne on set at Both Worlds Studios on the edge of the Bokaap, where he was busy filming S1E4 of his 30-minute show. Donald Trump, Obama, the Clintons and other famous faces watch Sne try on the different Superbalist-sponsored outfits and have makeup applied to his rubber face, which is not unlike those of the puppets he shares a backstage area with.
